Dikshaa Padhi
I am Dikshaa Padhi, working as a full-time Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. T. Govindaraju, JNCASR, Bengaluru.
I am an agile and passionate researcher with a particular interest in chemical biology. I have gained experience in various domains of bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, organic synthesis, spectroscopy, microscopy and various characterization techniques such as gel electrophoresis, NMR, FT-IR, UV fluorescence spectroscopy, EPR, CV, HPLC. I am using my knowledge in organic synthesis to comprehend the various problems associated with chemical biology, such as addressing various facets of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis and utilizing rationally designed small molecule-based therapeutics which exhibit multiple reactivities against AD. Additionally, I am pursuing the chemical synthesis of post-translationally modified amyloid beta peptides and their implications in AD. These endeavors behold the potential for a comprehensive grasp of chemical biology, and in particular, AD.
