Leveraging my extensive expertise in continuous learning and scientific development, I have been captivated by the intricacies of infectious diseases and human biology in the context of translational research. As a dedicated and self-motivated individual, I excel in efficiently performing my job and rapidly acquiring new skills to adapt to different environments or fields to meet management expectations. I hold a PhD in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Tamil Nadu, Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and a Master's of Technology in Bioinformatics from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. Additionally, I completed my internship program for my Master's project at the Department of Pharmacy, National University of Singapore. With 15 years of experience, my skill set encompasses Ophthalmic Drug Delivery, Ocular Infection, Colonized Burn Wounds Infection, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research, Reproductive Health, Musculoskeletal Biology, and Cell Biology. I am passionate about translational, pre-clinical research, research & development, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Life Sciences. I have demonstrated success in managing international collaborative projects for Preclinical Contract Research Organization (CRO), Maccine Pte Ltd, and leading teams of undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students. Currently, I serve as a Research Fellow II at the Ocular Infections & Anti-Microbial group in the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI). I have authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) journals such as Advanced Science, Antimicrobial Agents Chemotherapy, ACS Infectious Diseases, ACS Applied Mater Interfaces, Biomaterials, Scientific Reports, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, and Nanoscale. My current research contributions focus on preclinical investigations of antimicrobial polymers for ocular infections and wound dressings for critically colonized burns.
