Toni Todorovski
I am Assistant Professor at the University of Rijeka, Department of Biotechnology, and at the same time I am working partially as Senior Scientist at the project NOVIRUSES2BRAIN at the University of Pompeu Fabra, Department of Medicine and Life Sciences, Barcelona, Spain. My research interest is in the field of peptide medicinal chemistry and mass spectrometry. I am particularly interested in developing new and effective antimicrobial (antiviral, antibacterial) peptide-based conjugates as well as anticancer peptide-drug conjugates that can be used in the photodynamic and photothermal therapies. Additionally, by using high-throughput mass spectrometry, part of my research is focused on identifying new cell-penetrating peptides (including blood-brain barrier peptide shuttles).
