Håkan Andersson
Early career (PhD, applied biochemistry, Lund University 1999) focused on prediction, preparation, and evaluation of molecularly imprinted polymer selectivity via analysis of pre-polymerisation/complexation, polymer synthesis, radioligand binding, and chromatographic analysis of polymer-ligand recognition. Later research focus switched to structure-function relationships of bioactive peptides, involving their discovery, purification from biological materials, sequencing and characterisation (MS/NGS/NKR), synthesis (SPPS) and bioassays. Major project: the discovery, characterisation, elaboration and structure-activity relationships of bioactive peptides in nemerteans (marine worms). After many years as a university lecturer at the Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden since 2019 senior lecture/associate professor and Director of undergraduate studies at the Dept of Medical Biochemistry & Biophysics, Karolinska Institutet, and a guest researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences at Uppsala University, in a long-standing collaboration with prof Ulf Göransson.
