Yugandhara Jirwankar
I am Yugandhara Jirwankar, a PhD student at Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (ICMR-NIRRCH), Mumbai, India. As a part of my PhD thesis I am working on the identification and characterization of the Sertoli and Leydig cell homing peptides for the targeted drug delivery to testis. Before starting PhD at ICMR-NIRRCH, I did masters in biotechnology with a gold medal from North Maharashtra University, Maharashtra, India. In 2017 I qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Biotechnology and Biotechnology eligibility test (BET) by Government of India and was awarded a Department of Biotechnology Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) to pursue PhD. My research interests include peptide therapeutics, homing peptides, targeted drug delivery, and precision medicine.
